ADAMS’ COLOURFUL COMEBACK

RYAN ADAMS has completed his second solo album titled ‘GOLD’, which will be released in September.

The album from the ex-Whiskeytown singer and the follow-up to last year’s ‘Heartbreaker’ album will be released on September 24 via Lost Highway.

Adams has chosen the title ‘Gold’ because that is “what the buildings and streets look like in LA when the sun goes down”.

The 16-track album was planned as a double, but had ten tracks taken off at the 11th hour.

He commented: “I suddenly decided that it should be one CD with enough songs to fit on two vinyl LP. I don’t know that anyone has the patience to listen to one CD with 16 songs on it, let alone two. So I just figured I’d hold onto that stuff for later.”

The confirmed tracklisting for ‘Gold’ runs: ‘New York New York’

‘Firecracker’

‘Answering Bell’

‘I A Cienega Just Smiled’

‘Rescue Blues’
