ELTON JOHN has joined RYAN ADAMS on stage for the second time in less than a week.
John joined Adams at his show at the Toronto Lee’s Palace (October 8) for three songs – two compositions from Adams‘ recent album ‘Gold’, ‘La Cienega Just Smiled’ and ‘New York, New York’, and a duet of John‘s ‘Rocket Man’.
As previously revealed on NME.COM, John made a similar surprise appearance at a gig at the New York Irving Plaza (October 3).
The pair have become close friends, and regularly namecheck each other in interviews. Speaking recently to NME, Adams described John as a “sweetheart”.
He said: “He just called me when I was in London in November… he just said ‘I really dig your record and I’d like to meet you in person.’ And we met up. He’s such a sweetheart, I fucking love him.”
Adams returns to the UK and Ireland for live performances later this month.
He plays: London Shepherds Bush Empire (October 17)
Dublin Ambassador (20)
Manchester Academy (21)
Glasgow Garage (22)
Birmingham Academy (23)
