Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore separate after five years of marriage

Couple confirm decision having married in 2009

Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore are to divorce following five years of marriage.

The couple’s split was announced yesterday with Billboard reporting that the following statement was issued.

“Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years. It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways. Both Ryan and Mandy ask that the media respect their privacy at this time.”


Adams and Moore has [url= https://www.nme.com/news/ryan-adams/43388]married in a secret ceremony[/url] in Savannah in 2009, having dated for one year prior to the wedding. In 2012 the couple recorded Moore’s seventh studio album together.

Meanwhile, last year saw Adams release a self-titled album. In September actor Johnny Depp joined Adams onstage for two nights at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, playing guitar on a cover of Danzig’s ‘Mother’ and ‘Kim’ from the album. Depp also appeared on ‘Aching For More’, the B-side to Adams’ ‘Gimme Something Good’, the first single to be taken from Adams’ last LP.
