Ryan Adams reveals new single ‘Gimme Something Good’ – listen

It's the first taste of Adams' 14th solo album

Ryan Adams has shared ‘Gimme Something Good’, the first taste of his as-yet-untitled new album, believed to be out in September, online.

The track is made with Glyn Johns, the Rolling Stones producer who also helmed Adams’ previous album ‘Ashes & Fire’ in 2011. It can be heard below.

‘Gimme Something Good’ is released as a 7″ single on June 30, featuring exclusive B-side ‘I Just Might’ and ‘Aching For More’, which will feature on the new album. It isn’t known if the two new songs Adams played at his Teenage Cancer Trust show at London Royal Albert Hall in 2013, ‘Where I Meet You In My Mind’ and ‘In The Shadows’, will be on the album.

Since ‘Ashes & Fire’, Adams has produced an EP for Fall Out Boy entitled ‘PAX AM Days’ and started heavy metal side-project band Pornography with Make Out singer Leah Hennessy and singer-songwriter Johnny T Yerington.
