Adams announced that he would be recording the cover version at the start of August and has been keeping fans updated with his progress, posting various behind the scenes video clips and photos on Twitter and Instagram.

Adams has already shared previews of ‘Welcome To New York’, ‘Bad Blood’, ‘All You Had To Do Was Stay’, ‘Out Of The Woods’, ‘Wildest Dreams’ and ‘Shake It Off’.

Upon hearing about the record, Swift expressed her excitement, saying that she would “pass out”, later adding: “not gonna be able to sleep tonight or ever again and I’m going to celebrate today every year as a holiday”.
