The musician appears to be on a hot streak, with the follow-up to 2017's 'Prisoner' seemingly nearing completion
Ryan Adams has given his fans an update on the progress of his next album, revealing that a total of 11 songs have now been recorded – suggesting that his next LP could be on the way very soon.
The North Carolina artist only released his sixteenth studio album ‘Prisoner’ in February 2017, but it now appears that his next project may only be a short time away from release.
Adams has been busy recently recording in his Pax-Am Studios, but he’s also managed to keep fans up to date in recent weeks on the album’s progress via Twitter. His latest post came earlier today (March 8), where he revealed that 11 tracks had been completed.
“Records are funny creatures sometimes – they wake you up like they can’t wait to just get born,” he wrote in accompaniment to a video of a mixing desk, where snippets of new music could be heard. See the tweet below.
As an Instagram post last month suggested, Adams has been recording this time round with guitarist Todd Wisenbaker, drummer Aaron Ficca, bassist/engineer Charlie Stavish and keyboardist T’Ben “Mahoney” Alleman.
Last month, Adams released a new track ‘Baby, I Love You’ in time for Valentine’s Day – his first new music release since last year’s ‘Prisoner’ record.
