S CLUB 7 have reclaimed the top spot in the UK singles chart tonight (May 20) with ‘DON’T STOP MOVIN”, knocking GERI HALLIWELL‘s ‘IT’S RAINING MEN’ from Number One two weeks after she stole pole position from them.

The S Clubbers initially went in at Number One with the song at the end of April, but were usurped by Halliwell a fortnight ago. Now they have nudged her back to Number Two.

And in a double blow for the former Spice Girl, both REM and Bon Jovi have scored higher new entries in the album charts than she did, with her ‘Scream If You Wanna Go Faster’ only achieving a Number Five new entry, lagging behind REM‘s ‘Reveal’ and Bon Jovi‘s ‘One Wild Night’ live album. The US rockers stormed into the album charts at Number One and Two respectively.

Back in the singles chart, other new entries come this week from Oxide & Neutrino, whose ‘Up Middle Finger’ is at Number Seven, BB Mak at Number Eight with ‘Still On Your Side’ and A Teens at Ten with ‘Upside Down’.

Other acts with new entries on the Top 40 singles are Stereo MC’s at 17 with ‘Deep Down And Dirty’, Pepe Deluxe at 20 with ‘Before You Leave’ and Mark B & Blade at 23 with ‘You Don’t See The Signs’.

Elsewhere, Jon B’s ‘Don’t Talk’ is new at 29, King Adora are at 30 with ‘Bionic’, Storm’s eponymous single is at 32 and two places behind The Divine Comedy get a new entry with ‘Bad Ambassador’.

Other new entries in the Top Ten albums today came from Depeche Mode, whose ‘Exciter’ is a new entry at Number Nine, and Missy Elliott, whose ‘Miss E -So Addictive’ went in at Ten.

Tool‘s ‘Lateralus’ was a new entry at Number 16 and The Shirehorses‘ ‘Our Kid Eh’ is new at 20.
