Saint Etienne have been forced to reschedule tonight’s London Palladium show tonight (May 28) due to illness.
The show has been moved to Monday June 25 and the band have confirmed that all tickets for tonight’s gig will be valid for the new date.
In a statement on their website, the pop trio said that singer Sarah Cracknell has had a throat infection since the start of the band’s UK tour last Tuesday, which has worsened.
A statement from Cracknell read: “I’d really like to thank all the amazing fans who have supported me throughout the tour so far, singing along and willing me along! It’s been absolutely amazing, thank you so much. I’m looking forward to getting my voice back and seeing everyone in London on the 25th June.”
Saint Etienne have been on the road for a short May UK tour and have already performed at venues in Sheffield, Liverpool, Cardiff and Leamington Spa. Tonight’s show was the last date on the tour.
The band released ‘Words And Music By Saint Etienne’ on March 5. It was the band’s first album since 2005’s ‘Tales From Turnpike House’.
