Sam Fender announces huge outdoor homecoming show for 2020

It's set to be his biggest headline appearance yet

Sam Fender has announced a huge homecoming show for 2020 which will mark his biggest headline performance to date.

The ‘Hypersonic Missiles’ singer-songwriter will take to the stage for an outdoor concert at Newcastle’s Exhibition Park as part of the city’s This Is Tomorrow Festival.

Taking place on May 24, Fender’s bill-topping show will follow support slots from Nadine Shah, Arlo Parks, Loyle Carner, and Declan McKenna – along with his current tour’s opening act, Brooke Bentham. Fender handpicked the supporting line-up himself.

Tickets go on general sale this coming Friday (December 6) via Sam Fender’s official website.

This announcement comes ahead of Fender’s scheduled stop-off at Newcastle O2 Academy later this month (December 16) as he continues to tour across the UK. Later in the month, he’ll return for two further shows at the same venue (December 21-22).

The current sold-out stint also includes two nights at London’s Brixton O2 Academy next week (December 10/11), before the singer visits Cardiff, Bournemouth, Dublin, Belfast, and Sheffield.

In April 2020, Fender will return for an arena tour and will support Kasabian at their Leicester homecoming show in June alongside Inhaler and Easy Life. He’ll also open for The Killers on their UK stadium tour next summer.
