Santigold returns with new song ‘Radio’ – listen

Singer will follow up 2012's 'Master of My Make-Believe' 'so soon'

Santigold has unveiled a new track called ‘Radio’.

The musician, who released her last album ‘Master of My Make-Believe’ in 2012, has recorded the song for the soundtrack of upcoming Cara Delevingne-starring film Paper Towns.

Santigold vowed in May that her new album will be released “so soon”.

She played her first show for two years at New York’s Williamsburg Music Hall on May 14, telling the crowd: “I will have an album out this year, I promise. We will be back so soon.”

Santigold added: “My new album is pretty much done. This is, like, my first show since having a baby. I forgot I have to be in much better shape.”

Santigold didn’t preview any new songs at the New York show. Instead, she played songs from her two albums ‘Santogold’ and ‘Master Of My Make Believe’, including the rarely-played ‘My Superman’.

The show ended with a battle to see who could best lip-sync Santigold’s lyrics. The six contestants were divided into three pairs, with a woman miming ‘Lights Out’ declared the winner.
