Savages perform ‘Adore’ on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ – watch

French band also performed at Coachella over the weekend

Savages performed ‘Adore’ live on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last night (April 18).

The US presenter declared that she “loved this band” before they played the title track from their recent album ‘Adore Life’, in a clip you can watch below. The French band performed the same song on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last month.

Their performance comes off the back of their slot at the Coachella festival over the weekend. Other artists on the bill included LCD Soundsystem, Guns N’ Roses and Calvin Harris, Sufjan Stevens, M83, Grimes, Run the Jewels, Ice Cube, Courtney Barnett, Foals, Disclosure, Sia, Major Lazer and The Kills.

Other acts confirmed across the festival included British artists The 1975, Chvrches, Ellie Goulding, Lush, Bat For Lashes, Savages, Skepta, AlunaGeorge, Underworld, Hudson Mohawke and The Kills.

Jack Ü, Death Grips, Flume, Beach House, A$AP Rocky, Chvrches, Purity Ring, Vince Staples, Rhye, Deafheaven, Deerhunter, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, HEALTH, Rae Sremmurd, Kamasi Washington, Christine and the Queens, Mavis Staples, SOPHIE, Ex Hex, DJ Koze, Sheer Mag, Autolux, Melody’s Echo Chamber and Girlpool also performed.

Guns N’ Roses were joined on stage by AC/DC‘s Angus Young during their first headline set at Coachella. Young played two songs with the reunited band: the AC/DC classics ‘Riff Raff’ and ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’.

The California festival has a history of coaxing acts out of retirement, after previously hosting the reunions of Rage Against The Machine in 2007, My Bloody Valentine in 2009, Pulp in 2012 and Outkast in 2014.
