‘School Of Rock’ actor arrested for stealing guitars and amps

A School Of Rock actor has been arrested for stealing guitars and amps, it has been reported.

Joey Gaydos Jr., who played the character Zack “Zack-Attack” Mooneyham in the 2003 film, is facing felony charges in Florida for larceny and grand theft.

According to TMZ, Gaydos Jr. has been caught stealing musical equipment four times in the last five weeks. He is said to have been walking out of music stores with guitars after testing them, before selling them on at pawn shops.

The actor has allegedly stolen a Les Paul Epiphone Prophecy, a Fender Stratocaster, a Gibson Les Paul gold top, and an amplifier, totalling over $3,400 (£2,587).

Gaydos Jr. pled not guilty to the charges relating to the guitars in court. He is yet to enter a plea for the amp theft.

The star’s character was the lead guitarist in the fictional school band. It was the actor’s only film role.

The actor took part in a 2013 reunion of the School Of Rock cast, including Jack Black, to celebrate the Richard Linklater film’s 10th anniversary. However, he was not present on New Year’s Eve 2018, when several of the former child stars met up for dinner and drinks.

Meanwhile, in 2017, Black explained why he thought Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok had copied School Of Rock.
