And the band reveal everyone thinks they're British in their native America...

Scissor Sisters wrapped up their US tour in LOS ANGELES last night (September 29) and revealed that everyone in their homeland think they are British.

Former Take That star and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ champ Mark Owen was among the 1,500 patrons who turned out for the show at the Avalon venue.

During the band’s set, which didn’t kick off until near 11pm due to a scheduled performance on live, late night chat show Jimmy Kimmel, the group aired ’Forever Right Now’, which frontman Jake Shears said was slated for the next Scissor Sisters release.

Speaking after the gig, Sister Del Marquis told NME.COM ’Forever Right Now’ was likely to be played on their upcoming UK jaunt. He said fans can also expect cover songs and some stepped up production elements.

“[It’s] the before you get sick of us UK tour,” he joked. “I think we have to pull out a few more stops.”

The Scissor Sisters are rapidly growing in popularity stateside, but Marquis said this tour has taught them US fans have a few incorrect preconceptions about the New York combo.

“They all think we’re from England,” he laughed. “They’re completely confused. Americans think we are an import band.”
