The camp New Yorkers cause a storm on the west coast...

Dozens of fans were shut out last night (June 7) as the Scissor Sisters played their first LA gig in two years.

The New York outfit – currently on tour with The B-52s, performed as part of a free show at Silverlake venue Spaceland. Several hundred fans turned up before the doors even opened to see the Scissor Sisters, who played second on a bill of four acts, but were clearly the main draw of the night.

The packed crowd included fans Har Mar Superstar and Senior of Danish pop duo Junior Senior.

The Scissor Sisters played for about an hour dropping most of the tracks off their self titled debut that will be released in the US next month.

Scissor Sisters return to the UK later this month for a slot on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on June 26.
