The film will also star Tim Roth and Bérénice Bejo and is set for a 2015 release
Scott Walker is to score new film The Childhood Of A Leader starring Robert Pattinson.
The Childhood Of A Leader will be directed actor Brady Corbet and stars Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac), Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs) and Bérénice Bejo (The Artist) alongside Pattinson.
According to ScreenDaily, Corbet’s directorial debut “tells the story of a young American living in France in 1918 whose father is working for the US government on the creation of the Treaty of Versailles. What he witnesses helps mould his beliefs and the film bears witness to the birth of a terrifying ego”.
Billed as “a chilling fable about the rise of fascism in the 20th Century”, The Childhood Of A Leader is set to start filming in Budapest early January 2015 and is scheduled to be released later that year.
The news of Walker’s latest project comes just days before the eagerly awaited release of ‘Soused’, his brand new collaboration with Seattle-based drone metal band Sunn O))), available via 4AD on October 20.
‘Soused’ was produced in London in early 2014 by Walker and long-term friend Peter Walsh (who has worked alongside Peter Gabriel, Stevie Wonder and Spandau Ballet) alongside musical director Mark Warman of The Royal Academy of Music.
