Police stop Scott Weiland’s ex-wife removing guitar from studio

Mary Forsberg was confronted as she tried to remove the instrument

Scott Weiland‘s ex-wife was reportedly confronted by police as she tried to take a guitar belonging to her late husband from a studio in California.

According to TMZ, Mary Forsberg attempted to lift the guitar from the wall of the studio based in Burbank, California.

An employee of the recording studio refused the woman and her son access, after which an argument took place with police called to the premises.

Forsberg was told it was a civil matter and that she would need to go through her lawyer “to work out any division of property,” it has been reported. It follows previous reports that Forsberg tried to push an LA court to name her the sole executor of Weiland’s will

Weiland was found dead on his tour bus from a toxic mix of drugs on December 3 2015. His death was ruled accidental.

Last year, his former band, The Stone Temple Pilots, released a touching video tribute to the late singer.

The singer’s funeral took place at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on December 10 and was attended by members of Stone Temple Pilots and the singer’s other former band Velvet Revolver.
