Peaches Geldof: ‘I have no intention of ever joining SCUM’

TV presenter denies she's been rehearsing with Emerge NME Radar Tour band

Peaches Geldof has angrily denied that she’s planning to join her boyfriend Tom Cohen’s band S.C.U.M.

A report in The People today (August 7) claimed that the TV presenter had been rehearsing with the London band ahead of their slot on the Emerge NME Radar Tour later this year.

The newspaper quoted a ‘source’ who said that Bob Geldof‘s daughter had been given the green light by Cohen to “get involved with his projects”.

However, reacting to the report on her Twitter page, Twitter.com/peaches_g, Peaches said that she has “no intention” of joining the band “ever”.

She wrote:

Everytime I have a boyfriend in a band theres WITHOUT FAIL a story about me doing a Spinal Tap move and “demanding to be part of the show”.

Geldof continued:

So just to clarify,& to nip any future tabloid “peaches demands to join boyfs band” stories in the bud-I have no intention of doing so.Ever.

S.C.U.M, who are due to release their debut album ‘Again Into Eyes’ on September 12, will be joined on the Emerge NME Radar Tour by headliners Wolf Gang, along with Niki And The Dove and DZ Deathrays on selected dates.

The jaunt kicks off at Exeter Phoenix on October 2 before taking in dates across the UK, culminating in a show at London KOKO 16 days later.
