See Matt Helders interrogated in Good Cop Bad Cop’s ‘Silk & Leather’ video

It's a classic cross-examination

Good Cop Bad Cop have released the music video for their debut track, ‘Silk & Leather’.

The duo, formed of Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders and Milburn frontman Joe Carnall, emerged last month with their ’80s-tinged single.

In the new visuals, Helders is cross-examined in a classic, well, good cop/bad cop interrogation.

Helders has also confirmed that he’s been working on his own solo album, which he has compared to the work of horror maestro John Carpenter.

Speaking to KEXP in October last year, Helders explained: “I’ve got a little studio set up at home now that, when I’m there, I can commit some time to,” he said. “That’s basically old drum machines and synthesisers – a bit more electronic and a bit more like soundtrack-y, like a John Carpenter kind of thing.”

Elsewhere, Helders has worked with Iggy Pop on his ‘Post Pop Depression’ album and has taken an interest in photography. He is also planning to open a cafe in Sheffield.

The band’s self-titled debut album drops on March 29. They support the release with a short UK tour this spring.
