Sepultura have announced that they will release their 12th album ‘Kairos’ later this year.
The album has been recorded in São Paulo with producer/musician Roy Z, best known for his work as a guitarist with Iron Maiden‘s Bruce Dickinson and Rob Halford of Judas Priest.
Speaking to Blabbermouth.net, Sepultura guitarist and songwriter Andreas Kisser said that ‘Kairos’ is about “living the moment”.
“Nostalgia is being in the past, trying to relive stuff, and we’re not doing that; we’re doing something new today,” he said.
He added: “I think the music is, again, something new from Sepultura. We’re just very happy with the result we have so far. I think it will surprise a lot of people in a very good way.”
