Halloween Special: what is Sex Pistols’ John Lydon scared of?

Singer reveals what gives him the shivers...

The Sex Pistols’ frontman John Lydon has revealed that he used to be petrified of being in front of a camera.

The singer explained to NME.COM that his vanity meant that he creased up whenever a camera was pointed his way.

“My big fear used to be being in front of a camera – I had to learnt to conquer vanity,” he explained. “You’re always aware of your septic spot, you want to look good.

“To learn to be yourself is a lifetime’s job. But if you can get there, it’s a marvellous reward.”
