LYDON REVEALS LOCKERBIE ESCAPE

The singer says he could have died in the Lockerbie air disaster...

JOHN LYDON has said he was booked on the flight that blew up over LOCKERBIE – but missed it because his wife took too long packing.

The former Sex Pistol said he and his wife were booked on Pan Am Flight 103 from London to New York which exploded mid-air in 1988, killing over 250 people who were on board.

However, Lydon told the Sunday Mirror that they’d taken too long to pack, and missed the flight.

He said: “We only missed the flight because Nora hadn’t packed in time. We had a big row and then took the next flight out. The minute we realised what happened, we just looked at each other and almost collapsed.”
