Sex Pistols re-released ‘GOD SAVE THE QUEEN’ will feature a reworking by Leftfield‘s NEIL BARNES.

The group, arguably the most controversial of all time, originally released ‘God Save The Queen’ at the beginning of June 1977 – at exactly the same time as The Queen celebrated her Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years on the throne.

Now, the track is re-released date on May 27. A spokesperson for the project told NME.COM today that the single will also feature a reworking by Barnes as a bonus track.

Yesterday (March 4), Leftfield confirmed they are to split after 12 years together.

Following the release of the single, a Sex Pistols box set will follow on June 3, the date of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee.
