THE SEX PISTOLS story is to be brought to the silver screen in a major new documentary masterminded by The Great Rock ‘N’ Roll Swindle director Julien Temple.
The movie will include previously unseen footage from the band’s heyday, aswell as interviews with the remaining Pistols, Malcolm McLaren and other figures. It is being produced with the help of Jersey Shore, Nitrate Productions and Channel 4’s cinematic offshoot Film Four.
The movie, as-yet-unnamed, will “more than likely be released theatrically”, according to a Film Four spokesman. He said that much of the footage that Temple had shot in the late 1970s had never been seen before.

The film should be released in the middle of next year.
