The video features artwork from Chad VanGaalen, a Canadian artist who, as a musician, has released a number of indie folk and electronica albums. The most recent of which, ‘Shrink Dust’, was released last April via Sub Pop.

‘Forerunner Foray’ is taken from Shabazz Palaces’s acclaimed 2014 LP ‘Lese Majesty’. Next Saturday (January 17), the duo will record a live, direct-to-acetate album at Jack White’s Third Man Studios, with fans who attend the performance being given the opportunity to pre-order the record on limited edition, blue-and-black split-colour vinyl.

“Very few records from last year got us as excited about the current state and hopeful for the future state of music as Shabazz Palaces’ Lese Majesty,” read a statement announcing the project. “Easily the most oft-spun record on the Third Man office turntable in the second half of 2014, it was imperative that we bless the beginning of 2015 with a live direct-to-acetate recording from these psychedelic warriors from the Pacific Northwest.”

The Seattle-based group will record in the studio’s Blue Room.
