SHAGGY RETURNS IN STYLE

'It Wasn't Me' sells 345,000 copies in a week and goes to Number One...

SHAGGY’s sensational return to the UK charts is complete, with his new single ‘IT WASN’T ME’ entering at Number One.

The single looks set to be one of the most successful of the year, and has sold 345,000 copies in its first week alone. That figure has eclipsed the Manic Street Preachers, whose sister singles ‘So Why So Sad’ and ‘Found That Soul’ entered the chart at Numbers Eight and Nine respectively.

Speaking to Radio 1 this evening about his success, Shaggy said: “What can I say – we make hits! Big up to my UK people, what can I say? Blimey!”
