SHAGGY looks set to dominate the UK charts this week, with his second Number One single in succession, while his album ‘HOTSHOT’ is also likely to be a chart topper.
According to news website ananova.com, Shaggy‘s new single ‘Angel’, the follow-up to the massive ‘It Wasn’t Me’, has sold more than 30,000 copies since its release yesterday (May 28). That makes it a strong contender for the top spot this coming Sunday (June 3).
As a result, the current Number One, DJ Pied Piper‘s ‘Do You Really Like It?’ looks set to drop to Number Two, while Travis‘ comeback single ‘Sing’ looks likely to enter the Top Ten at Number Three, selling in the region of 16,000 copies.
Shaggy‘s success does not appear to be restricted to the UK single charts. According to other press reports, his album, ‘Hotshot’, is also looking likely to knock REM from the Number One spot, climbing one place from Number Two.
