Several artists added to Grammy line-up

Shakira, Lionel Richie and Smokey Robinson to perform

Several artists have been added to the lineup for the 49th Grammy Awards, it was announced today (February 6).

Shakira, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson and Rascal Flatts will join the all-star lineup, which already includes Gnarls Barkley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Mary J Blige, the Dixie Chicks, and The Police who have reunited for the occasion, as previously reported. All of these artists (with the exception of The Police) have been nominated for Grammy Awards this year.

New presenters added to the lineup include Tony Bennett, LeAnn Rimes, Seal, and actors Nicolas Cage and David Spade.


The ceremony will take place this Sunday (February 11) at the Los Angeles Staples Center.
