Former SHAMEN rapster MR C looks set to release his debut solo album, ‘CHANGE’ in the early summer, NME.COM can reveal.
“I’ve been a bit lazy this year,” Mr C explained to [url=]www.muzikweekly.com. “I’ve done a couple of remixes, but I’ve only got a couple of tracks left to finish on the LP now. I’m hoping to have it finished by the time I go to Miami [later in the month].”
He also revealed that the 11-track album features the vocal talents of Soul II Soul singer Victoria Wilson James and acclaimed house veteran Robert Owens on a track called ‘The Club’.
Mr C first found fame rapping with stadium dance act The Shamen, most infamously on the Number One hit ‘Ebeneezer Goode’.
However, since leaving the band he has set up the groundbreaking London club The End and, along with fellow End residents Layo & Bushwacka!, has been instrumental in championing the tech-house sound.
