All Tomorrow’s Parties have announced details of a month-long residency in Hackney, London which will see bands such as Shellac, Comets on Fire and Beak> perform live.
All gigs will take place at a pop up venue inside Netil House, east London between November 18 and December 5. In addition to the live music, each event will feature food vendors, film screenings, DJs, and other activities including whiskey tastings.
Soundheads will kick the series off on November 18. Shellac will then perform two shows, one on November 27 and a second the day after. Other artists scheduled to appear include The Haxan Cloak, Autre Ne Veut, The Icarus Line, Michael Rother and Wolf People. Scroll down for a full list of gigs.
Meanwhile, New Yorkers Television will perform their 1977 classic debut ‘Marquee Moon’ in full as part of ATP’s ‘End Of An Era Part 1’ (November 22-24) – the first of the festival’s two closing weekenders at Camber Sands in November. The weekend is also set to host performances from the likes of Dinosaur Jr, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Les Savy Fav and Thurston Moore’s new project Chelsea Light Moving. Newer acts such as Forest Swords, Beak> and ex-Yuck frontman Daniel Blumberg’s Hebronix are also set to play.
It was announced in April that the festival’s last weekenders would take place this November, with founder Barry Hogan commenting: “The support from the artists and festivalgoers alike has been incredible but it’s time to move on and look towards the future, it may also be time to let Camber Sands rest in peace!”
