Jury selection in Puffy's trial suspended, after crash leaves two people seriously injured...

Jury selection in the trial of SEAN ‘PUFFY’ COMBS and JAMAL ‘SHYNE’ BARROW was suspended in a Manhattan court this morning (January 22) after SHYNE’s arrest over his involvement in a car accident on Sunday night (January 21), during which two people were seriously injured.

According to [url=], Shyne was initially charged with driving without a licence following the accident at the corner of 19th Street and 9th Avenue in Manhattan just before 9pm. However, prosecutors in the trial in which he, Combs and Combs’ bodyguard, Anthony ‘Wolf’ Jones, are being tried for their part in a December 1999 nightclub shooting said he may face more serious charges related to the accident.

Judge Charles Solomon was told by Peter Bogdonas, prosecuting, that the accident occurred after Shyne allegedly ran through a red light and hit a car with two people in it. Both were hospitalised in a serious condition.

Shyne is due to be arraigned on the accident charges sometime later this afternoon. It is unclear at present if the new complication will up the current cost of his bail.

Jury selection is due to continue tomorrow.
