Sigur Ros to take over YouTube

Icelanders to screen band documentary online

Sigur Ros will take over the YouTube homepage with a full-length screening of their documentary, ‘Heima’, tomorrow (March 7).

The documentary was filmed during the home country shows the band played in 2007. The band performed in venues as varied as fish factories, community halls and caves, filming as they went along.

The Icelandic quartet will be the first band ever to have a full-length DVD screened on the video broadcast website.

The band will also select ten other videos, as well as screening a message for fans filmed as they take a break from recording of their new album in Reykjavik.

See and tomorrow to see the documentary in full.
