Skepta has shared a picture announcing the birth of his new baby.
The rapper, who won the 2016 Mercury Music Prize for ‘Konnichiwa’, shared the news in an Instagram post today (January 3).
A short caption accompanying the image, read: “My guardian angel ????”.
Skepta, whose real name is Joseph Adenuga, first revealed that he and his partner were expecting a child by sharing a sonogram picture on Instagram back in July 2018.
Skepta recently used social media to call for J Hus to be freed from prison. During a series of tweets on New Year’s Eve, Skepta tweeted: “Acceptance will set you free” before adding, “FREE J HUS”.
Back in November, Wiley released a new song ‘Flip The Table’ that took aim at Dizzee Rascal and Skepta escalating the long-running feud between the rappers.
The track release was pre-empted by a lengthy outburst from Wiley on his Instagram Story. The rapper took to social media after discovering that Skepta and Dizzee were working together on a new song.
“Dizzee and Skepta on a tune, you know what? Neither of you lot can talk to me, I’m not talking to you,” he said. “That’s it, done. You made your bed now you can go and lie in it you pagans.”
The release of ‘Flip The Table’ dampened hopes of a reunion after Skepta was credited – along with Wiley– as a composer on Kanye West’s ‘I Thought About Killing You’, the opening track on ‘ye’.
Immediately after posting the download link for ‘Flip The Table’ on Twitter, Wiley tweeted “The War Has Officially STARTED”.
