Skrillex on working with Justin Bieber: ‘He didn’t slack off and go, “Fuck it!”‘

Sonny Moore tells NME about the tracks he produced for Bieber's 'Purpose'

Skrillex has told NME what it was like to produce five tracks on Justin Bieber’s new album, ‘Purpose’.

“He didn’t slack off and go, ‘Fuck it! I’m gonna be rich, famous and not give a shit’,” the US producer told Tom Ward. “[Justin] spent hours perfecting it.”

Skrillex, real name Sonny Moore, then went on to talk a little bit about each track, which includes ‘I’ll Show You’, ‘The Feeling’, which features Halsey, single ‘Sorry’, ‘Children’ and ‘Hit the Ground’.

Earlier this month Skrillex hit out at fellow electronic producer Deadmau5 as the pair were embroiled in a public disagreement over Twitter.

Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman, was among the first big name artists to help support Skrillex as he began his career as a producer and DJ. However, Deadmau5 recently criticised Skrillex’s music, asking “what the fuck is this shit?” about Jack Ü single ‘I Need Ü’. The single was produced by Skrillex alongside Diplo and features Justin Bieber on vocals.
