Police suspect gang activity as four people stabbed at Skrillex/ Diplo show in Las Vegas

Reports of serious injuries at the September 7 pool party concert

Four serious stabbings at a Skrillex/ Diplo show that took place on American Labour Day (September 7) have belatedly come to light, after law enforcement in Las Vegas suggested they suspect gang involvement.

TMZ.com have gathered information on the show at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, reporting that law enforcement has had trouble piecing together what happened. Many of those in attendance have declined to comment when interviewed.

Four punters are thought to have suffered stab wounds, with injuries including a punctured lung and a punctured spleen. TMZ reports that one victim admitted the violence is connected to gangs, but was unwilling to press charges.

The police are said to have arrested an attendee on three counts of attempted murder, but early signs suggest collecting evidence is likely to prove a problem.

The pair have been working together on a number of projects recently, performing as Jack U, and also putting together an album’s worth of material with musicians from Arcade Fire.

The duo had a show stopped by police earlier this year after attempting to DJ from their dressing room window (they were stopping traffic). They also got 18 hours into an attempted 24 hour DJ set before the police shut them down.

Skrillex will play The Warehouse Project in Manchester on November 8, following an extended Asian jaunt. Diplo has only a handful of shows remaining in 2015, none of which will bring him to Europe.
