Skrillex joined by Lauryn Hill, Warpaint and Janelle Monae during Bonaroo festival ‘superjam’

Producer and DJ leads star-studded cast during unique performance at US festival

Skrillex was joined by guests including Lauryn Hill, Warpaint and Janelle Monae during a special performance at the Bonaroo music festival last night (June 15). Click above to watch a clip from the performance now.

The producer and DJ staged one of the festival’s unique ‘Superjams’ where a host of musicians gather together to perform a one-off set. During his three-hour performance Skrillex was also joined by Fatman Scoop, A$AP Ferg, Zedd, The Doors’ Robbie Krieger, Mystikal, Damian Marley, Thundercat, Big Gigantic, and Cage The Elephant frontman Matt Shultz.

The performance, which ended at 3:30am, included a number of covers such as Monáe taking on Michael Jackson’s ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin” and James Brown’s ‘I Feel Good’. Meanwhile, Warpaint performed their versions of Technotronic’s ‘Pump up the Jam’ and David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’.

Skrillex also played guitar as Robbie Krieger of The Doors and Matt Shultz performed ‘Break on Through (To the Other Side).’ Lauryn Hill’s segment closed the whole performance, the former Fugees singer playing ‘Lost Ones’, ‘Jumpin”, and The Fugees’ ‘Ready Or Not’.
