SKUNK ON THE ROAD

Skin and co also play low key Glasgow warm-up shows...

Skunk Anansie, who support German industrial rockers Rammstein on their June US tour, have announced two low key warm up gigs at Glasgow King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on May 8 and 9.

Rammstein, who courted controversy with their video for ‘Du Hast’ which used footage from Leni Riefenstahl‘s Nazi propaganda film ‘Olympiad’, sparked a storm amongst fellow London Records artists Asian Dub Foundation and Goldie over their fascist overtones.

A spokeswoman for the avowedly anti-racist Skunk Anansie told nme.com that she didn’t know that they were going on tour with Rammstein and didn’t know anything about them.

She also didn’t know anything about the Glasgow gigs – going under the name SCAM (for Skin, Cass, Ace and Mark) – though you can book tickets on 0141 339 8383.
