Sky Ferreira and boyfriend Zachary Cole Smith cover Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love song – watch

Couple performed live version of Hole's 'Asking For It' in Los Angeles

Sky Ferreira and Zachary Cole Smith of DIIV performed a cover of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love collaboration ‘Asking For It’ during a gig in Los Angeles last week.

The couple performed the Hole song at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles on November 20. The original version of the song was released in 1994 and was the fourth track on Hole’s second studio album, ‘Live Through This’.

Ferreira also performed snippets of new music at the gig, reports Consequence Of Sound, after confirming that she’s working with Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie on her next album.

The pop singer is collaborating with Gillespie and Andrew Innes of the band. “The reason I like working with them is because there’s absolutely no pressure,” she commented.

Ferreira is currently working on her second album, which she explained will be “more aggressive” than her debut. She has also revealed that she and Charli XCX are working on a track together and compared it to Russian pop duo Tatu.

Sky Ferreira released her debut album ‘My Time, Night Time’ in 2013. DIIV are also recording the follow-up to their debut album ‘Oshiin’, though no release date has been confirmed. The couple were arrested in September 2013 after being found in possession of heroin and ecstasy.
