Singer will play Field Day festival in London in June
Sky Ferreira was the musical guest on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ on Saturday night (April 5).
The singer, who is supporting Miley Cyrus on her tour across the US, performed ‘I Blame Myself’ from her debut album ‘Night Time, My Time’ accompanied by full band and lasers.
She also filmed a video for show in which she talked about how she wrote the song. In it, she said she’d written it during the summer when working with producers Ariel Rechtshaid and Justin Raisen. She added: “The second verse was ’10 years old without a voice, I feel like nothing’s really changed
Now I’m just a little older,’ and that’s because I literally stopped talking for two years. I went mute, I don’t know… I felt I didn’t have anything to say so I just stopped speaking at all. Thinking about it now that’s kind of weird.”
She went on to say she had just filmed a video for the song and it will be released soon. “The video is going to be something that people wouldn’t really expect from me.” Ferreira has been added to the line-up of Field Day festival, which takes place on June 7 and 8 in London’s Victoria Park.
