Slaves cover The Chemical Brothers in Radio 1’s ‘Live Lounge’ – watch

Band performed 'Go' and their own 'Sockets' earlier today (September 8)

Slaves covered The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Go’ during their visit to Radio 1’s Live Lounge earlier today (September 8).

The band were the latest band to participate in the station’s Live Lounge Month. Florence + The Machine, Muse and The Libertines will all participate as a different live session is held daily throughout September. Earlier this week Wolf Alice covered a One Direction song in the Live Lounge.

Slaves performed two songs for Radio 1 with new single ‘Sockets’ featuring alongside the ‘Go’ cover, which saw lead singer Isaac Holman take on Q-Tip’s rap vocal.

Slaves recently revealed that an imposter tricked them into booking a fake gig at Banksy’s ‘bemusement park’ Dismaland. The Tunbridge Wells duo had previously confirmed that they would play at the Western-super-Mare venue on September 25 but subsequently revealed that the booking was a hoax.

However, the band will play a rearranged show at a different venue in Western-super-Mare on the same date.
