Grime artist joined punk duo during their cover of his song 'Shutdown'

Slaves were joined onstage by Skepta as Radio 1’s One Big Weekend event began in Norwich today (May 23).

The punk duo have taken to covering Skepta’s single ‘Shutdown’ at live gigs since they first performed it during a Live Lounge session on Radio 1 earlier this month. However, they had yet to play the song with Skepta himself until today. Watch footage of the moment, courtesy of the BBC, below.

One Big Weekend continues throughout today and tomorrow (May 24) with headline performances due from Muse and Foo Fighters. Taylor Swift, Florence + The Machine, The Vaccines and Catfish and The Bottlemen will also perform across the weekend.

Slaves will head out for 11 dates throughout November following the release of debut album ‘Are You Satisfied?’ on June 1 and a packed festival schedule.
