Slaves have announced details of their debut album ‘Are You Satisfied’.

The record will be released on June 1 and will be preceded by new single ‘Feed The Mantaray’ on March 23.

The album was produced by Jolyon Thomas at London’s Strongrooms. The album sleeve is designed by the duo and can be seen below.

In the new issue of NME, which is on newsstands now and available digitally, frontman Isaac Holman said the preceding single was the Tunbridge Wells duo’s answer to The B-52s’ cartoon new-wave classic ‘Rock Lobster’. “I think we were all just going a bit stir crazy in the studio,” Holman said. “You can hear it in the song because it’s fucking ridiculous. It’s aquatic madness. I’d like to say there’s some sort of hidden meaning you can look for, but it is just utter silliness.”

Slaves will play a headline show at Tunbridge Wells’ Forum tonight (February 12) and one at Liverpool’s Shipping Forecast tomorrow, before supporting Interpol on three dates next week.

The band are also touring the UK as this part of the NME Awards Tour 2015 with Austin, Texas, completing a line-up that also includes headliners Palma Violets, as well as Fat White Family and The Amazing Snakeheads. “I’m really excited to be on the bill with those bands,” Holman told NME. “I’m a massive fan of Fat White Family and I’ve been into The Amazing Snakeheads for ages. We haven’t been gigging for a while – we don’t know what to do with ourselves.”
