The Kent punks are back with the first track from their third album
Slaves have shared the video for their new single ‘Cut And Run’, the first track from their upcoming third album.
The Tunbridge Wells duo last released a record in 2016 with second LP ‘Take Control‘. In a four-star review, NME said it “sloshes with the bile and venom that made us love Isaac Holman and Laurie Vincent in the first place.”

The video for ‘Cut And Run’ features guitarist Laurie Vincent and singer/drummer Isaac Holman dressed in running shorts and sweatbands, performing a choreography routine in front of a camera. Watch the video below.
Meanwhile, Slaves recently hinted that Wolf Alice‘s Ellie Rowsell could feature on their new record. Asked by NME if there would be any guests on the album, they replied: “May-beeee.” Vincent later expanded: “We want to keep it secret, put it out there and if people notice, they notice it more. It might be a bit like when Elastica had Damon Albarn on their record.”
Slaves recently appeared at New York’s Governors Ball Festival, where they previewed two more songs from their third album in ‘The Lives They Wish They Had’ and ‘Photo Opportunity’. Get the full low-down on the tracks here.
The pair also launched their own label Girl Fight Records earlier this year. They have signed one band so far – fellow Kent band Lady Bird.
The band’s next UK shows will take place at Reading & Leeds Festivals on August 24-26. They will perform alongside the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Fall Out Boy, Diplo, Wolf Alice, Travis Scott, and more.
