Watch: Man goes viral for battling Hurricane Florence to the sound of Slayer

A man in America has gone viral, after a video emerged of him marching into Hurricane Florence to the sound of Slayer.

The video, which was posted on Twitter, shows Lane Pittman as he faces off against the hurricane in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

In the clip, Pittman is seen wearing nothing but a pair of shorts as he waves the American flag in the middle of the street. Despite massive winds, he dances to Slayer’s ‘Raining Blood’ while a friend films the whole daring stunt.

“YOU ARE WEAK AND SMALL FLORENCE!!!!! FLORIDA MAN IS HERE!!!!! “, Pittman wrote on Twitter.

The stunt came about Pittman succesfully created a GoFundMe page to pay for gas and coffee that would support his 350-mile drive from Jacksonville. At the time of writing, he’s raised over $1000 dollars.

Pittman has form too – he previously confronted Hurricane Matthew in 2016 with the same stunt.

One Twitter user responded: “In future times, they will speak of the strange man who stared down at the face of hurricanes.”

Meanwhile, Slayer are currently in the middle of a huge farewell world tour. Last week, one fan had the time of her life after entering a mosh-pit in her wheelchair for the first time ever.
