‘Eastenders’ actor Shane Richie wants Sleaford Mods to perform on ‘Children In Need’

Richie says that his 'world would be complete'

Actor Shane Richie, best known for his role as Alfie Moon in Eastenders, has called on Sleaford Mods to be involved in this year’s Children In Need.

The televised charity fundraiser will be broadcast on the BBC this year on November 13.

On Monday night (November 2), Richie took to Twitter to tweet that his “world would be complete” if the Nottingham duo appeared or performed on the show. See his tweet beneath.

Sleaford Mods later replied, joking that their appearance would most likely see them “shouting at Gary Barlow”.

Sleaford Mods recently aired their new tour documentary, Invisible Britain.

Described as ‘part band doc, part look at the state of the nation’, the documentary follows the duo on their recent UK tour.

Directed by Nathan Hannawin and Paul Sng, the film is a combination of live footage, interviews with fans, conversations with the band and “a look at what individuals and communities are doing to resist and campaign against so-called austerity measures”.

The film screened in London on October 3 and Nottingham on October 10 with a live Q&A with Sleaford Mods following the film.
