The start of the ‘THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TOUR’, co-headlined by SLIPKNOT and SYSTEM
OF A DOWN, has been postponed.
The tour, due to start this evening
(September 14) in Chicago, will now not commence until September
21 at the Denver Coliseum.
A statement issued by both bands
said that the rescheduled tour will be now dedicated to “the innocent victims
and their families” of Tuesday’s (September 11) terrorist activity in New
York and Washington.
The statement reads: “The
Pledge Of Allegiance Tour is dedicating the trek to the innocent
victims and their families. Named in honor of the fans who have fiercely
expressed their support and loyalty to uncompromising bands like Slipknot and System
Of A Down, the tour and it’s name have taken on an expanded meaning for the
bands in light of this week’s horrific events.”
