'Get the f**k off my stage before I punch you in the fucking face," Corgan tells the unwanted guest
Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan threatened to take a swing at a stage crasher during the band’s recent gig at the Orpheum venue in Memphis, Tennessee.
The band – whose touring lineup now includes original drummer Jimmy Chamberlin again – were midway through a cover of The Rolling Stones‘ ‘Angie’ when the stage crasher came up to Corgan and earned himself a swift rebuke.
“Get the fuck off my stage before I punch you in the fucking face,” Corgan told the stage crasher, who complied with the frontman’s wishes and duly left the stage.

Smashing Pumpkins wrapped up their ‘In Plainsong’ tour yesterday (May 1), having begun the run of acoustic dates in March. The band are now expected to return to the studio to record the follow-up to their 2014 album ‘Monuments To An Elegy’.
Earlier in the tour, original Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha reunited with the band for the first time in 16 years.
Their setlist during the tour included a cover of David Bowie‘s ‘Space Oddity’ and a cover of ‘Malibu’, a song from Hole‘s ‘Celebrity Skin’ album that Corgan co-wrote. They were supported on the tour by Liz Phair.
