Smashing Pumpkins frontman refused to answer the question
Cobain passed away in April 1994, with the official cause of his death cited by police as suicide by a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head. Despite this, the circumstances surrounding his passing have been much debated ever since.
Corgan is rumoured to have dated Love following Cobain’s death, with the singer quizzed about murder conspiracy theories at a recent Q&A session with fans in Morrison, Colorado.
During the event, a fan asked if he thought Love “killed Kurt”, followed by laughter from the audience.
Corgan replied: “Are you legitimately asking me this question here? What does that have to do with me?” He then refused to answer the question.

A new Kurt Cobain conspiracy theory film, Soaked In Bleach, is set to be released in the UK during Autumn 2015.
Following 1998 documentary Kurt & Courtney, which focused on accusations that Cobain’s death had been organised by wife Love, the new ‘docu-drama’ covers the same subject.
Named after a lyric from Nirvana song ‘Come As You Are’, Soaked In Bleach, the Benjamin Statler-directed film will be released on DVD and in selected cinemas.
The movie features actor Tyler Bryan portraying Cobain, Sarah Scott as Love and Daniel Roebuck (Dr. Arzt from Lost) taking the role of Tom Grant, a private detective allegedly hired by Love to find her husband shortly before his death in 1994.
The fictionalised reenactments will be interspersed with real-life interviews with Grant, attorney Rosemary Carroll and others. Watch a trailer from the film below.
