Corgan will also write personalised notes for three buyers, a move compared on the Smashing Pumpkins’ website to “Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket” hunt. Boxes are only available in the US.
Corgan said: “All over the country, there are passionate makers creating wholesome, tasty products with real ingredients. By teaming up with Farm To People, I hope to support some of my favourite small businesses, and get their names and delicious products out to a larger community of conscious eaters.”
Meanwhile, Corgan recently revealed that he hopes to help the lives of US military veterans with his band’s upcoming tour. Corgan said: “We kind of want to raise awareness of what’s going on in our veterans’ communities, we want to support families. It sounds like a very simplistic message, but it needs to be branded in a new way in American society.”
The group’s tenth album ‘Monuments To An Elegy’ was released last year, with another record entitled ‘Day For Night’ expected for 2015. Smashing Pumpkins will head on a co-headline tour with Marilyn Manson during the summer, with the North American stint billed as ‘The End Of Times Tour’.
Corgan, who recently revealed that he wants to be known by the name William, not Billy, has taken up full-time role at TNA Wrestling. The role will see him develop characters and create story lines for TNA’s Impact Wrestling. Corgan will attend TNA television tapings where he will serve as a senior producer, working with TNA’s roster which currently includes World Champion Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy and Gail Kim among others.
