Post trip-hop band airs new album 'Splinter' in mini tour...

Sneaker Pimps have announced a Scottish tour prior to the release of their first album with singer Chris Corner on vocals.

‘Splinter’ is set for release on October 25 and is the band’s first venture since their success with singles ‘Spin Spin Sugar’ and ‘Six Underground’. They will be showcasing revamped versions of these tracks alongside songs from the new album when they play Sunderland and Scotland.

The tour dates are: Sunderland University (September 25) Dumfries The Venue (26)Dundee Westport Bar (28)Aberdeen Glow 303 (29)Glasgow Queen Margaret Union (30) St Andrews University (October 1)

They are also due to play the Dublin Groove Weekender on October 2.

The band are also currently organising home taping club nights at London’s ICA. The band collect a variety of cassette tapes together – including those of celebrities – and play a random mix. Future nights are planned for September 16, October 14, November 4 and December 16.
