Snoop Dogg cancels Snowboarding festival headline set

A replacement for the rapper will be announced in due course

Snoop Dogg has cancelled his forthcoming European tour and pulled out of headling Snowbombing 2012, the Austrian snowboarding and music festival.

A press release from the festival states: “We are extremely disappointed but we are now working around the clock to replace him. We will have an update for you soon.”

The yearly snowboarding and music festival will take place from April 9-14 in the Alpine town of Mayrhofen and will see sets from The Vaccines, Example, DJ Shadow, Jungle Brothers as well as the Fatboy Slim Street Party and DJs including Chase and Status, Zane Lowe and Skream.


Snoop Dogg was meant to be performing at Snowbombing‘s outdoor woodland arena which has in previous years seen sets from The Prodigy, Madness and De La Soul.
